The spring festivals at Barton Hill Farms are here!
Yes, we said festivals…because we have two this year!
In March and April, we’ll be hosting Berries and Bunnies, a chance for you to pick fresh strawberries off the vine and interact with the sweetest, softest little bunnies. In May, enjoy Blooms & Brews where you can cut a fresh bouquet of sunflowers and zinnias to take home with you.

Hop on Over to Berries & Bunnies!
The first of our two spring festivals is going to be a hopping good time.
We’ll have sweet, snuggly bunnies for the kids (and adults) to interact with. See all the wiggly noses and long floppy ears that make bunnies so darn adorable. (Exact dates for bunnies TBD. Check back with us here for more information!)
There are more animals to see at Barton Hill Farms than just bunnies! We have goats and chickens, cattle and pigs, llamas and even a pair of mini horses. Plus, there are tons of activities and delicious food on the farm. (Keep reading to learn more!)
On weekends in April, the kids can also participate in the Barton Hill Farms Easter Egg Hunt. And after, they can get photos with the Easter Bunny himself. More details on these events to come soon!
Before you go, fill up a carton of fresh-from-the-vine, sun-ripened strawberries to take home with you. You’ve never had berries this fresh before!
The Berries & Bunnies festival will run on weekends from March 26th – April 16th (except Easter Sunday).
Blooms & Brews Coming this May!
After strawberry season comes flower season! We’ve planted thousands of zinnias and sunflowers in bright, pretty rows, ready to go home with you in a beautiful bouquet.
Enjoy the late spring sun away from the city as you wander the farm and enjoy live performances, local musicians, and tons of fun activities. Get close to our friendly farm animals, like the Dorper sheep, llamas, mini horses, llamas, Red Wattle pigs, chickens, Spanish & Boer goats, and cattle.
There will be plenty of delicious food and drinks to enjoy, including lemonade, iced tea, and local beers and ciders for the adults. Plus, we’ll have face painting, archery, slides, and of course, the Texas Jumbo Jumping Pillows for bouncy fun. Keep reading to learn more about the food and activities on the farm!
Blooms & Brews will run on weekends from May 7th – May 30th.
The Tastiest Food & Coolest Drinks
There’s no shortage of delicious food and refreshing drinks at Barton Hill Farms. At both festivals, you’ll find plenty to tickle our taste buds.
At Grady’s Grill and Smokehouse, BBQ lovers will find a mouth-watering brisket and smoked sausage plate. Or you can visit the Fry Barn for Freshly Floured Chicken Tenders & Fries, made with a special custom flour mix prepared just for Barton Hill Farms!
We’ve also got a young entrepreneur on the farm this year. Hobbs Dogs Hot Dog Cart will be serving Nathan’s Original 100% Beef Hot Dogs on a soft, warm bun.
For dessert, we’ll have warm churros available from 1:00 pm to close (or until they’re gone). Or indulge in Avaleigh’s Farm Fresh Strawberries & Southern-Style Shortcake, made from our own fresh strawberries served atop rich pound cake with a scoop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.
Head on over to Poppin’ Johns for fresh Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn. It’s popped fresh every day!
And the adults can get a little R&R at the Barton Hugel Biergarten, serving refreshing local craft beers, cider, and our own Frozen Sangria Wine. Sit in the shade, enjoy your drink, and listen to live music from Austin-area musicians.
What Else is There to Do?
Both of our Austin spring festivals will be packed with fun things to do. Ride the Bee Train to buzz around the farm. Try your hand at Archery and see if you can hit the target! Climb the Wilbarger Tree Fort and glide down the massive Super Slides.
Bounce on the two Texas Jumbo Jumping Pillows, and get your face painted as your favorite superhero, animal, or imaginary creature.
We’ll also have live entertainment throughout the festival, like music from local bands, wild west gun spinning from world champion Pistol Packin’ Paula, and a milking demonstration in The Milk Cow Classroom. Swifty Swine Pig Races will join the farm in May! Place a bet (not really) on a winner!
